Need to know something about The Warrior Academy? We’ve listed our most commonly asked questions. If you don’t see what you need, please feel free to give us a call and we’ll be happy to help.

Yes, we have a unique syllabus based around the ITF (International Tae Kwon Do Federation) belt system and regularly transition students from other styles to our belts and our students who move onto other styles transition quickly. We are regulated by the WKF (World Karate Federation) and the UAE Karate Federation meaning no matter where your child trains, their belt level will be recognised.

In our classes your child is learning all of the important techniques to help them transition from our syllabus to ITF or WTF taekwondo, Muay Thai or even Karate. We have never had a student be turned away because of their belt, quite the opposite our students are praised for how versatile they are and how quickly they pick techniques up are compared to other styles.

When the Warrior Academy started we were part of the ITF organisation. The challenge we found is the strict rules and politics of the organisation restricted our ability to really maximise the character development aspect of our programme. Martial arts is great but developing your child’s character is what sets them up for a happy and successful life as an adult – since we made this bold change we have won countless awards for our programme and our transformations.

In WTF or ITF organisation’s it takes around 3-4 years on average to earn a black belt. In our programme our students take on average 6-8 years. We are so confident on the quality of our black belts that we guarantee everyone who gets a black belt a job in our Academy.

Yes! We have run competitions for over a decade and have had incredible success with our students. Our programme has created over 50 national champions.

Yes! We have strong connections with multiple national teams around the world, in 2021 we worked closely with Team GB Taekwondo to help bring former athletes to the UAE to further their career.

We teach Freestyle TaeKwonDo. This is a mix on traditional TaeKwonDo, Karate, Muay Thai, Boxing and Brazilian Jiujitsu. TaeKwonDo is the original MMA. It was designed to be simple to learn and highly effective. It was also created to evolve over time and we are continuing to do this through our unique syllabus.

As with most things, the more you do it, the better you get and the quicker you see results. Whilst we do offer once per week training, most students start training with us twice per week. Coupled with with our Character Development Workbook students who train twice per week see incredibly rapid results.

Roughly every three months we run academy wide gradings. This is where our students get the opportunity to demonstrate their skills to their instructors and their parents with a view to earning their next belt.

This is done so that we can ensure they are working towards their personal goals and that they are progressing not only with their character development, but also their martial arts skills.

Yes. Almost all organisation’s charge for the Gradings as the instructors put in a huge amount of additional time as well as the cost of the belt and certificate. Some brand new organisation’s do not do this when they launch and implement this a year down the line, this often leads parents into a false understanding of costs. We are always completely upfront with our costs. Having a well designed and structured grading process is vital for students, many organisation’s who teach WTF Sport Taekwondo do not follow a structure syllabus with no clear progression for students which causes a confusing route.
