Charlie Fairhead
Head Of Character Development
Master Charlie has a total of 7 different black belts. He is a 4th Dan Black Belt under Suzuki Ha Karate-Do Wado Ryu with his Dan grades being awarded by late Grand Master Tatsuo Suzuki (8th Dan Hanshi) and Suzuki ha Chief Instructor Sensei Eleni Labiri-Suzuki (7th Dan). Charlie also holds a 2nd Dan Black Belt under the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), and a 1st Dan Black belt in Freestyle Taekwondo. He has been practicing Martial Arts for over 20 years and has an excellent repertoire and a vast amount of competition experience, gaining titles such as, Former British National Karate Champion, a X2 European Champion and a Former World Karate Champion.
From a young age Charlie has been teaching and competing on the International circuit, he has also been very fortunate to train in many different Dojo’s around the world including the birthplace of Karate. In 2016 he trained in Japan, going from many different Karate University Dojo’s with his fellow teammates, this experience gave him a significant amount of knowledge in many varied styles of Karate such as Wado Ryu, Ryuei Ryu and Shito Ryu.
Charlie is an extremely enthusiastic teacher, and as the Head of Character Development for the Warrior Academy, Master Charlie has the desire to provide quality tuition to all members that enter the Dojo. In addition to this, Charlie constantly seeks ways to improve his own personal development, hence starting a new journey in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is currently ranked as a Blue Belt through Gracie Barra.
Along with all of this, Charlie is our dedicated Health & Safety Officer (level 3) and carries full up to date SEN Course training, DBS checked, Child Protection training, and is First Aid Qualified.
