Little Warriors Martial Arts Classes
Ages 2 - 3
Little Warriors is our children’s karate programme for toddlers aged 2 and 3. Sessions borrow the simplest building blocks of karate, jiu jitsu, and taekwondo for kids: standing on a spot, copying a movement, waiting for a turn, stopping when asked. Those are big asks at 2, so everything is short, physical, and playful.
Children's martial arts that start with character
At The Warrior Academy, children’s martial arts is the vehicle and character development is the point, even at 2. The 3 C’s of Confidence, Conduct, and Concentration start small: a bow, a turn taken without a fuss, a minute of listening. Parents searching for martial arts for kids near me will find Little Warriors in Al Quoz, Arjan, Jumeirah Islands, and Abu Dhabi.
Leading martial arts training programmes for children
At The Warrior Academy, we’ve refined the art of teaching martial arts into a holistic approach that takes physical and mental development to new heights. By combining the principles of disciplines like karate and taekwondo, our dojos provide character development from a young age, giving your little ones skills for the rest of their lives.
Physical
Training
Toddlers are still learning where their bodies are, so our karate classes for kids this young stick to basics: balancing on one foot, jumping with both feet together, and rolling safely on the mat, which is the jiu jitsu kids meet properly later on. Every drill is a game.
Skill
Development
Confidence at this age comes from managing something on your own. Children's jiu jitsu here is a safe way to fall and get back up; the karate is a stance and a block done slowly. A 3 year old who has done both in front of other children walks out taller.
Mental Development
Nobody expects a 2 year old to concentrate for long. What we build is the habit of listening: eyes on the instructor, a moment of stillness, then go. Children's karate gives that habit a shape, a bow to start and a bow to finish, so preschool children learn what focus feels like before they can explain it.
Overall Experience
Little Warriors work towards their first belt, and for a toddler that is a genuine occasion. With classes capped at 13, instructors know every child by name, the shy one and the busy one alike. Small classes capped at 13

This is where many first friendships outside nursery or kindergarten begin, in a class built around movement and fun rather than a full syllabus. Children of 4 and over start in Junior Warriors (ages 4 to 6) or Senior Warriors (ages 7 to 9) instead.
We always hold an assessment session for Little Warriors, and parents are invited to be part of it. Book an introduction call and we’ll find the right children’s karate class near you.
