Kids Martial Arts Classes

Warrior Academy runs age-specific martial arts training for kids from age 2 through to 17, across our dojos in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Quoz, and Jumeirah Islands. Every programme is
built on The Warrior Method, our structured approach that combines martial arts training with the skills children carry into everyday life: confidence, discipline, resilience, and respect.

Each class is taught in small groups by our British-trained instructors, with a focus on character development as much as physical technique. Find the right class for your child’s age below.

What children develop through training

Children’s martial arts training in the UAE at Warrior Academy covers far more than physical technique. Every class is structured to build five qualities that show up clearly in school and at home:

  • Confidence, through progressive, achievable goals and genuinely earned achievement
  • Discipline, through structured classes that train focus and self-regulation from anearly age
  • Resilience, by learning to attempt a technique, not quite get it, and try again
  • Respect, for instructors, training partners, and themselves
  • Goal-setting, through a clear belt system that makes personal progress visible andmeaningful

Most parents tell us the changes they notice first are not on the mat. Better posture, more eye contact, a calmer response to frustration at home. That is the Warrior Method working below the surface.

Small classes, world-class instructors

Class sizes at Warrior Academy are kept small so every child receives genuine individual attention. Our instructors hold belt rankings from 1st Dan to 6th Dan across multiple styles, and includes national, European, and World Champions. Every instructor is selected for their ability to inspire children, not just their martial credentials.

We operate dojos across the UAE, with class times spread across the week to fit around school schedules. All locations and timetables are listed on our class times page.

Belt progression and grading

Warrior Academy uses its own grading system, registered with the WKF (World Karate Federation) and the UAE Karate Federation, so every belt your child earns is recognised internationally. Our system includes intermediate grades between colour belts, giving children more frequent milestones and a clearer sense of progress.

Most beginners who train consistently are ready for their first grading within 90 days. Grading assesses the whole student: technique, conduct, and concentration, not just how well they can kick. You can read a full explanation of how the system works in our belt progression guide.

Book an introductory session

Every new student starts with an introductory session so you and your child can see the dojo, meet the instructors, and get a feel for the class before committing to anything. Book your introductory session here, or browse our programme pages to find the right class for your child’s age.

Frequently asked questions

Classes start from age 2 with our Little Warriors programme. Each programme is designed around the developmental stage of that age group, so children are always working at the right level for where they are.

No prior experience is needed. All classes are open to complete beginners at any age. Instructors assess each child individually and tailor their attention accordingly from the first session.

We recommend two to three sessions per week for consistent progress and to build the habits that carry across into everyday life. That said, even one session a week will produce results over time, particularly for younger children.

Classes draw from karate, jiu jitsu, and taekwondo, taught through the Warrior Academy syllabus. The focus is on a well-rounded foundation rather than a single style. Students who move on to other clubs or organisations consistently find their technique transfers well. More detail is in our FAQs.

Yes. Parents are welcome to observe from our waiting areas and are actively encouraged to attend grading days. For Little Warriors specifically, we invite parents to take part in the assessment session to help young children feel at ease. For a family experience, we also offer family classes where parents can learn alongside their children.
