I am Sandya Prabhashini, a dedicated martial artist with over 16 years of experience and a 2nd Dan Black Belt in both Shito Ryu and JKA Shotokan Karate. I began my karate journey at a young age, developing strong technical foundations, discipline, and a deep understanding of both traditional and competitive karate.

I have proudly represented Sri Lanka at national and international levels. My achievements include being a four-time National Champion of Sri Lanka, earning the title of South Asian Vice Champion in 2023, and becoming the UAE Senior Kata Champion in 2025/2026. I have also competed in the WKF Series A tournaments in Georgia in 2025 and 2026, through which I achieved a WKF World Ranking of No. 371.

In addition to my competitive career, I have over two years of professional experience in the UAE as a ladies fitness and kickboxing trainer. I also have extensive experience teaching children, focusing on developing their coordination, confidence, discipline, and respect through age appropriate and engaging martial arts training.

Training in both Shito Ryu and JKA Shotokan has shaped my approach to martial arts, emphasizing precision, mental strength, and continuous improvement. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experiences with my students at The Warrior Academy, guiding both children and adults to grow not only as skilled martial artists but also as confident, disciplined individuals.
