Questions parents ask
Does my child need any experience?
No. Most of our students start as complete beginners. Your child joins a class for their age and starts at their own level.
What happens after I fill in the form?
Our team will WhatsApp you to book your child’s introduction class at the academy and time that suit you, so please make sure your number is right.
Will martial arts make my child aggressive?
The opposite. Every class teaches respect, self-control and when not to fight. Parents most often tell us their child has become calmer and more focused.
Are your belts nationally and internationally recognised?
Yes. Our syllabus is based on the ITF (International Taekwondo Federation) belt system, and we are regulated by the WKF (World Karate Federation) and the UAE Karate Federation. Students regularly move to us from other styles, and those who move on transition quickly after a short skill check.
What if my child leaves to join another club?
Your child learns all the important techniques to move from our syllabus to ITF or WTF taekwondo, Muay Thai or karate. We have never had a student turned away because of their belt. Quite the opposite: our students are praised for how versatile they are and how quickly they pick things up.
Why are you not part of the ITF or WTF taekwondo federation?
When The Warrior Academy started we were part of the ITF. Its strict rules and politics held back the character development side of our programme. Martial arts is great, but developing your child’s character is what sets them up for a happy, successful adult life. Since we made that change we have won countless awards for our programme and our transformations.
How long does it take to get a black belt?
In the ITF or WTF it takes around 3 to 4 years on average. In our programme it takes 6 to 8 years. We are so confident in the quality of our black belts that we guarantee everyone who earns one a job in our academy.
