Children in Abu Dhabi can learn taekwondo, the kicking art, at The Warrior Academy Abu Dhabi at Al Wahda Mall. Kicks get higher and sharper week by week, and the stretching and focus behind them build flexibility and concentration.
Taekwondo for Abu Dhabi children
Sessions start with balance and stretching, then move on to front kicks, side kicks and, later, turning kicks and pad combinations. Control comes first, so children learn when not to use power as much as how to use it. Taekwondo is one part of a single syllabus that also covers karate, jiu jitsu, boxing and Muay Thai.

Sparring when your child is ready
Sparring is never forced. Children start with pads and technique, and only spar once their instructor is confident they have the control for it, with protective equipment and close supervision. On the current Abu Dhabi timetable there is a sparring session at 6:30pm on Thursdays, alongside the advanced Seniors and Pre Teens session.
Regular sessions for Junior and Senior Warriors run on weekday afternoons, with weekend sessions on Saturdays and Sundays. See the Abu Dhabi timetable for exact times.

Questions parents in Abu Dhabi ask
What age can my child start taekwondo?
From age 2, in our Little Warriors programme, with short, playful sessions built around balance and coordination.
Do you teach adults too?
Our focus is children and teens, and there is an adults session at 7:30pm on Mondays on the current Abu Dhabi timetable. See adult martial arts classes. Family programmes also let parents train with their children.
Is it only taekwondo?
No. Children learn taekwondo, karate, jiu jitsu, boxing and Muay Thai together through one syllabus and one belt system.
