An instructor hugs a smiling girl at The Warrior Academy

Some children are full of energy. Some notice every sound in the room. Some see patterns nobody else spots. At The Warrior Academy we see those differences as strengths to train, not problems to fix.

Children with ADHD, autistic children and children with sensory differences train in our normal programmes, alongside their friends, and earn the same belts. What changes is how we coach them.

Why it works

  • Small groups. Capped at 13 children, grouped by age, so every child is seen and known by name.
  • The same routine every week. The same bow, the same warm-up, the same expectations. Children know exactly what’s coming.
  • Short, clear goals. Focus is trained in short bursts, then reset and repeated, so children feel success over and over.
  • Energy with a purpose. Movement is part of the lesson, not something to be told off for.
  • A plan for your child. The Breakthrough Area Assessment measures your child’s confidence, conduct and concentration, and you have a monthly one-to-one call with their instructor to set the next goal.
  • Visits, ear defenders and a break space. Children can visit before they start, wear ear defenders and take a breather whenever they need one.
  • Safe and supervised. Every instructor is qualified in safeguarding and first aid, and all contact training is controlled and age-appropriate.

Questions parents ask

What families of neurodivergent children usually ask us.

Will my child be in a separate group?

No. They train in our normal age-group programmes with their friends, and work towards the same belts. What changes is how we coach them: shorter goals, clear routines and plenty of movement.

Do we need a diagnosis?

No. Just tell us what helps your child, whether that is a diagnosis or simply what you know works at home. The instructor will use it from the very first session.

Can we visit before the first session?

Yes. Come and see the dojo and meet the instructor first, so the space and the faces are familiar before your child steps onto the mat.

What support is there in the session?

Children can wear ear defenders whenever they like, and there is a calm break space if they need a moment. Every instructor is qualified in safeguarding and first aid, and groups are capped at 13.

How will we track progress?

The Breakthrough Area Assessment sets a starting point for confidence, conduct and concentration, and you have a monthly one-to-one call with your child’s instructor to set the next goal.

Which academies can we go to?

All four: Al Quoz, Arjan and Jumeirah Islands in Dubai, and Al Wahda Mall in Abu Dhabi.

How much does it cost, and how do we start?

Memberships start from AED 898 a month. New families start with a VIP Pass for AED 199: an introduction session, a Breakthrough Area Assessment of your child’s confidence, conduct and concentration, and a goal-setting call with their instructor. Claim your VIP Pass.
