Karate is where most children start their journey at The Warrior Academy. It teaches stance, balance, striking and blocking, and it gives children a clear path to follow with every new belt. Our kids karate programmes run at three Dubai academies: Al Quoz, Arjan and Jumeirah Islands.
What your child learns in karate
Children learn the fundamentals first: how to stand, how to move, how to strike with control and how to block. As they progress they learn combinations, kata and partner drills, always matched to their age. Karate gradings at The Warrior Academy are registered with the WKF and the UAE Karate Federation, so every belt your child earns is recognised beyond our own mats.
Karate sits alongside taekwondo, jiu jitsu, boxing and Muay Thai in one syllabus, so your child builds an all-round foundation rather than learning a single style in isolation.

Karate at every age
Little Warriors (2 to 3) learn to stand still, listen and copy simple movements. Junior Warriors (4 to 6) add their first blocks and strikes, Senior Warriors (7 to 9) start linking techniques into combinations and kata, and Pre Teens (10 to 12) and Teens (13 and up) work towards higher belts with more detailed kata and partner work. Family programmes let parents train alongside their children.
Belts that mean something
Each belt is earned at a grading, and karate gradings are registered with the WKF and the UAE Karate Federation. Programmes are capped at 13 children, and parents get a one-to-one call each month on how their child is progressing towards the next belt.

Questions parents ask
What age can my child start karate?
From age 2, in our Little Warriors programme. Each age group has its own programme so children always train at the right level.
Does my child need any experience?
No. Every programme is open to complete beginners, and instructors get to know each child from the first session.
How often should my child train?
Two to three sessions a week gives the most consistent progress, but even one session a week builds confidence over time.
