Karate, taekwondo, jiu jitsu, boxing and Muay Thai for kids in Abu Dhabi

Every parent wants the best for their child, which is why martial arts at The Warrior Academy Abu Dhabi are taught as a vehicle for character, not an end in themselves.

Inside Al Wahda Mall. Our dojo is in Al Nahyan, with parking at the mall, and we welcome families from Al Danah, Al Rawdah, Al Mushrif and the surrounding neighbourhoods.

One syllabus for every age. From Little Warriors at 2 to competition karate as a teen, every child learns karate, taekwondo, jiu jitsu and boxing and Muay Thai through one tried and tested syllabus. Parents can train too, in our family programmes or adult martial arts programmes.

Kids martial arts for families across Abu Dhabi

Our Abu Dhabi academy is inside Al Wahda Mall in Al Nahyan, so after-school training fits around the school run and the mall’s parking. It is a short drive from Al Khalidiyah, Al Mushrif, Al Bateen, the Corniche, Al Reem Island and Madinat Zayed.

It runs exactly the same programme as our three Dubai academies: one syllabus blending karate, taekwondo, jiu jitsu, boxing and Muay Thai, with every session building confidence, conduct and concentration. Every programme is capped at 13 children and grouped by age, from Little Warriors at age 2 to our Teens programme.

Abu Dhabi questions

What families usually ask before their first session at Al Wahda Mall.

Where exactly is the academy?

Inside Al Wahda Mall, unit E275, Al Nahyan, with parking at the mall, so after-school training fits around the school run. Call or WhatsApp us on 058 698 4087 and the team will help you find us.

Which areas is it close to?

It is a short drive from Al Khalidiyah, Al Mushrif, Al Bateen, the Corniche, Al Reem Island and Madinat Zayed, and families from Al Danah and Al Rawdah train here too.

Is it the same programme as Dubai?

Yes. Same syllabus, same belt system, same Breakthrough Area Assessment and the same monthly one-to-one parent call. If you move between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, your child’s belt and progress move with them.

What ages do you teach at Al Wahda Mall?

From age 2 to 18, grouped by age: Little Warriors (2 to 3), Junior Warriors (4 to 6), Senior Warriors (7 to 9), Pre Teens (10 to 12) and Teens (13+), plus family and adult programmes. Every programme is capped at 13 children, so the instructor knows your child’s name, belt and goals, and you get a one-to-one call with them every month.

Are the belts recognised?

Yes. Our gradings are regulated by the World Karate Federation and the UAE Karate Federation, so your child’s belt level is recognised wherever they train. Belts are earned through technique and behaviour, so every new belt means real progress.

How much does it cost, and how do we start?

Memberships start from AED 898 a month. New families start with a VIP Pass for AED 199: an introduction session, a Breakthrough Area Assessment of your child’s confidence, conduct and concentration, and a goal-setting call with their instructor. Claim your VIP Pass.

Do you welcome children with ADHD, autism or sensory differences?

Yes, and they train in our normal programmes alongside their friends. Families can visit before the first session, children can wear ear defenders, and there is a calm break space if they need a moment. See how we coach neurodivergent children.

Choose The Warrior Academy, Abu Dhabi

Parents comparing martial arts in Abu Dhabi usually want three things: a class their child wants to return to, instructors who notice the quiet child as much as the loud one, and a route to real progress. That is what an Abu Dhabi martial arts academy built around character should deliver.

Watch confidence build session by session as your child learns technique alongside the traits the Warrior Method teaches. Drive times to Al Wahda Mall are short from Al Khalidiyah, Al Bateen, Al Kasir, and Al Qurm, so the school run, the after-school routine, and weekend training all stay manageable. Book a trial class and see a session for yourself.

Self-defence classes with physical, social, and mental benefits

Kids martial arts in Abu Dhabi, taught our way, develops physical and mental wellbeing together, in the same session. Here is what that means in practice.

Skill development

Martial arts build balance, flexibility, and coordination long before it builds a punch. Those physical foundations feed body awareness and self-regulation, so physical and emotional confidence tend to grow together.

Character building

Our martial arts classes teach respect and courtesy towards partners and instructors from the first session. They also build the discipline and focus that the Warrior Method's three pillars, Confidence, Conduct, and Concentration, are designed around.

Children learning meditation and mindfulness.

Social and emotional benefits

Partner drills only work with cooperation and clear communication, so children practise both every week. Your child learns to handle stress, on the mat and off it, and to keep emotional control when a drill does not go their way.

Safety and well-being

Safe technique and injury prevention are taught alongside character, not after it. Our approach to martial arts safety covers warm-ups, supervision, and protective equipment, so the habits built early last well beyond the dojo.
