Combinations, kata and partner drills across all five martial arts, with more responsibility in every session.

Pre Teens, ages 10 to 12

Higher belts with more detailed technique and partner work, building the discipline and focus that carries into school.

Questions parents in Abu Dhabi ask

Everything families want to know before their first visit to Al Wahda Mall.

What age can my child start martial arts in Abu Dhabi?

From age 2. Our youngest students join Little Warriors (ages 2 to 3), short and playful sessions that build balance, listening and the confidence to join in. From 4 they move into Junior Warriors and start working towards their first belts, then Senior Warriors (7 to 9), Pre Teens (10 to 12) and Teens (13+).

Does my child have to choose one martial art?

No. Every child learns karate, taekwondo, jiu jitsu, boxing and Muay Thai through one syllabus and one belt system. It keeps training fresh and builds well-rounded skills, from kicks and kata to groundwork.

How big are the groups?

Every programme is capped at 13 children and grouped by age, so the instructor knows your child’s name, their belt and exactly what they are working on. Parents also get a one-to-one call with the instructor every month to talk through progress and set the next goal.

Are the belts recognised?

Yes. Our gradings are regulated by the World Karate Federation and the UAE Karate Federation, so your child’s belt level is recognised wherever they train. Every belt is earned through technique and behaviour, so a new belt means real progress, not just time served.

How do you teach self-defence?

Through our A.C.E system: Avoid, Control, Engage. Children learn to spot and avoid trouble first, to stay calm and in control, and only then the techniques to protect themselves. It is why so many families come to us when their child is facing bullying.

Where can my child do martial arts in Abu Dhabi?

At The Warrior Academy Abu Dhabi, Al Wahda Mall, unit E275, Al Nahyan, with parking at the mall, so after-school training fits around the school run. It is a short drive from Al Khalidiyah, Al Mushrif, Al Bateen, the Corniche, Al Reem Island and Madinat Zayed. Call or WhatsApp us on 058 698 4087, or see the Abu Dhabi timetable.

Can parents watch?

Yes. Parents are welcome to watch, and we invite Little Warriors parents to join the assessment session so you can see exactly how your child learns. Many parents tell us watching the first few sessions is the moment they see their child’s confidence change.

How much does it cost, and how do we start?

Memberships start from AED 898 a month. New families start with a VIP Pass for AED 199: an introduction session, a Breakthrough Area Assessment of your child’s confidence, conduct and concentration, and a goal-setting call with their instructor. Claim your VIP Pass.

Do you welcome children with ADHD, autism or sensory differences?

Yes, and they train in our normal programmes alongside their friends. Families can visit before the first session, children can wear ear defenders, and there is a calm break space if they need a moment. See how we coach neurodivergent children.
